To be a live musician requires more than three chords and a microphone. It requires not just musical ability but psychology and a keen eye on your surroundings.
German pubs like rock and roll, the Dutch lean more towards indie. ALL OF THESE THINGS NEED TO BE UNDERSTOOD AND READ BY THE MUSICIAN THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. And Norway? Well… Norwegian audiences are one of a kind!
Friday or Saturday night pub audiences in Norway are not interested in being musically challenged. They want the songs they know delivered in such a way that they do not have to think about anything other than leaving the week behind them.
And unlike USA, UK, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Poland and Australia who love electric guitar the vikings favourite way of hearing this is by acoustic trubadur.
Although it is one of the easiest styles of guitar to master, acoustic trubadur is considered highly credible in the north. It is a format that is familiar and non confrontational to Norwegians, a nation known for hating confrontation!
Through his experience playing different musical styles, instruments and countries SHAMELESS has learned that you cannot guarantee a successful night of live music without first understanding your audience.
Travelling in and out of Norway over many years his observations have helped him to develop an approach and setlist that is CUSTOM MADE for these crowds.
IN fact, this show would not work anywhere else in the world and will only be presented in the North!
